The Ironman LX300 is a solid home inversion table at a very affordable price. It is a surprisingly sturdy piece of equipment for what is essentially a budget product. So, it certainly looks like a good buy. Let’s take a closer look to help you decide if it is the right choice for you.
You can assemble the Ironman LX300 inversion table by yourself. From unpacking to fully functional shouldn’t take you longer than about an hour. The only point where you may need some help is when connecting the table and swing arms, as this can be somewhat uncomfortable and challenging to do alone. The instructions are presented in a step-by-step format and are pretty straightforward, with the exception of one or two somewhat confusing points (nothing that’s impossible to figure out with some practical thinking though).
Using the Table
Everyone has their own criteria when buying these tables, but comfort is always high on the list. You want equipment that can help your back relax, not something that puts it in even more discomfort while you’re using it.
The first part of comfort is construction, as you want to be able to relax and feel safe with the machine. The LX300 is made from 1 1/2″ steel tube. The welds passed inspection and look well executed. We expected a cheap feel at this price, but the unit is in fact really sturdy and has a quality and durable feel about it.
The backrest has a foam vinyl covering which provides a large degree of comfort. As with most Ironman inversion tables, you get extra long handles that make it easy to get upright again from an inverted position. The padding is also present on the arm holds and foot rests.
The foot rests are important of course, as this is one of the most common sources of discomfort on inversion tables. The Ironman LX300 offers substantial padding in this area that should be sufficient for most people.
The U-shaped ankle cushions are also quite comfortable. If this is your first experience with inversion tables, the feet thing may still take a bit of getting used to. When fully inverted there are some pressure on the ankles and additional padding (you can simply use towels, for example) may be required.
The inversion process itself is quite easy if you have properly fixed and balanced your position. You can operate the table almost entirely with hand positioning. Raise your hands over your head to start inverting, and return your hands to your side to go upright.
The product could have done with more complete directions on how to correctly use the table. We recommend that first time users find instructional videos online to do it right. Two tips we can give you right away is to use a low inversion angle to begin with and to use very slow movements on the machine. Using a helper to steady you until you have the balancing right is also a good idea.
The table is adjusted with a strap, but you cannot index the table position with this. It’s a minor concern and not one worth carrying on about for a table in this price range. It does the job well enough, but can be a little inconvenient if many people who each use their own angle of adjustment use the table.
User Results for the Ironman LX300 Inversion Table
There’s no doubt that inversion therapy works. Here are some documented results from users of the Ironman LX300 inversion table:
“Physical therapist suggested I get Inversion table. I had been using one at the therapist. It is WONDERFUL!! It has in three days gotten rid of any remaining effects of sciatica. When I get off the table my back feels great. I use for 3, 3 minutes reps in morning and 2, 3 minute reps at night. I will use continuously and I look forward to no more back problems, I hope.” – Timothy F. Randolph (Amazon)
“Personal note – I have found that using this inversion table began to lessen my pain (sciatica) almost immediately. I plan to use it 2 times a day as a regular part of my program to stay out of back pain, along with my stretching and strengthening routine.” BoltFan58 (Amazon)
“I bought this cause I’m starting to get back pains. It was one of the cheaper one I could find that is made by a reputable company and it does the job!! I’ve been using it for 5 minutes every night I go to bed and my back hasn’t bothered me.” Ryan Tiamzon (Amazon)
Our opinion on this product is just an isolated one. To get the whole picture, we assembled some customer reviews from all over the web to see what other people had to say about the LX300:
“This unit is much better than anyone has a right to expect from a $100-class inversion table – well worth the price.” Ilo O. Kratins (Amazon)
“I’m giving this table 5 stars as I think it is an excellent table for the money. I am quite surprised I can get a table of this quality for the price (about $120). I’ve used this table about 9 sessions so far, and I can already tell something is different. The pain is not as precise and seems to be abating. If you can overlook the minor quirks, this table should serve reliably for years. ” Rodney L Stanley, Amazon
“This is an awesome product! It took me less than 30 minutes to assemble this unit from unpacking the box to moving it where I wanted it. The directions are clear and concise. My whole family has already been using the table and I feel like this has been a great investment. I don’t believe a more expensive table is warranted as this one does the job and is sturdy. Well worth the money!!” Robert L. Norman, Amazon.com
Where to Buy the Product
The Ironman LX300 can be purchased at most online stores. You usually get the best price, and free shipping, at Amazon.com.
For the price, the Ironman LX300 is a surprisingly good inversion table. It doesn’t offer the same level of comfort of the more expensive Ironman units like the Gravity 4000, but you can hardly expect that. It has been built to last and does exactly what you expect from it. There are a few minor issues, but nothing that we consider a deal breaker.
The product maintains a very impressive 4.6 out of 5 star average rating across the major online shopping sites. This is quite simply a good value, functional inversion table.
