Teeter Hang Ups EP-560The Teeter Hang Ups EP-560 inversion table is one of the latest products from this famous inversion table manufacturer. Released in 2012, it features a 300 pound weight capacity and can accommodate individuals up to 6’6″ tall. On the face of it, this looks like just another inversion table. Once you take a closer look though, you’ll find an inversion table brimming with cool features and innovation.

Features

The first thing you notice about the EP-560 is the inversion bed, which Teeter has named ComforTrak due to the fact that it flexes while you stretch on it to accommodate a greater range of motion.

The bed has all kinds of slots and handles on it, as well as a pillow at the top. The three large handles cut into the bed at the top helps you to perform various stretches while you’re inverted. They are especially handy for support when doing side twists.

The other slots can accommodate acupressure nodes. That’s right, you can massage pressure points on your back while you’re inverted with this table. The small horizontal slots near the center of the table are for fitting a lumbar bridge for additional lower back support.

Note: you get acupressure nodes and the lumbar bridge for free with the “Ltd” version of this table, so make sure you purchase that.

Finally, there’s the pillow. This is fully adjustable to fit your height, but you can also remove it completely should you choose.

So, that is arguably the most impressive and innovative bed we’ve seen on an inversion table.

The next feature we picked up on was the extended length of the side handles, making them easier to grab hold of to pull yourself up after inverting. There is a simple tether strap for controlling the inversion angle.

The UL certified frame is extremely sturdy and safe. There is no doubt that this frame will last a long, long time.

The Ankle System

The ankle clamp system is often what makes or breaks an inversion table, as it is one of the most common areas of complaint. The Teeter Hang Ups EP-560 introduces an ankle system that is a big improvement over that of the EP-550. You now have four fully molded ankle cups instead of just a padded bar in the front. This is much more comfortable.

Even so, unfortunately, some users still find the clamps uncomfortable. Depending on your weight, you may need to use some extra padding to increase the comfort once you go fully inverted (which many people won’t require). For many simply wearing shoes fixes it. You can also use gravity boots on this model.

Assembly

The table comes with an assembly DVD, which is so much easier to follow than written instructions. Many people miss it and try it the hard way, so make sure you fire up the DVD to help make the assembly much less of a challenge. The DVD also guides you through the use of the product, which is very important information for first-timers.

Using the Table

EP-560 Features

EP-560 Features

The first thing you’ll notice once you get on the table is that you have to bend down quite a way to secure the ankle clamps. If you have a condition that prevents you from bending forward very far, you may need to upgrade to an inversion table like the EP-950. That model features an easy to reach lever for securing the clamps.

Inverting on the table is just a joy once you have your height adjusted. You can literally control the entire inversion process by just raising and lowering one arm. The rear bottom bar on the table has a bend in its center, allowing you to grab hold of it to help you do additional stretching. This is another subtle, but smart feature of this table. The table feels solid, safe and sturdy, even at full inversion.

Folding up the table for storage after your session is easy as well. Collapse the leg bar, fold over the bed and collapse the frame. In three simple steps your inversion table is rendered compact enough to fit into a reasonably sized closet, or simply to be tucked into a corner.

Results

People get real results from using the EP-560. Here are some of their comments:

“I had steroid injections in my discs that did nothing for the pain. I thought I was going to have to learn to live with it until I tried the Teeter. Not only does it get rid of my back pain after a few minutes a day, but it has improved my posture as well.” Rebecca, Amazon.com

“So there I was, hanging by my ankles at 60 degrees. My back seared, it tighened up, it… went off like a shotgun blast. CRAAAAAAAAAACK! I could breathe, I could feel my hand, I could feel my, OMG, I COULD FEEL MY BODY! In that instant, the EP-560 paid for itself. My Chiropractor had been attempting to adjust that spot in my back for months. Two minutes on the hang up, and I was the most well adjusted guy in town!” S. Douglas Smith, Amazon.com

Customer Reviews

We are very impressed with this inversion table. Let’s see what other users think of the product:

“This product is well built and well worth the money. Inversion tables in general are the way to go for back relief. I’d say the Teeter Hang Ups is one of the better brands to go with based on quality and price. The acupressure node and lumbar attachment bonus made it a no brainer purchase for me.” Casey, Amazon.com

“I thought the reviews on this prior to purchasing might have been a little exaggerated but they absolutely were not. After using the table for 4 days my lower back pain was dramatically reduced and has not felt this good in 25 years. After a week I have no back pain at all. I use every other day or so for about 5 to 10 minutes at a time and tether the table so it can only invert to a little over a 45 degree angle. For the price I believe the table to be well built and capable of decades of use. If you are thinking of buying this table I would not hesitate.” T. Pike, Amazon.com

Our Verdict

The Teeter Hang Ups EP-560 is one of the safest, most innovative inversion beds on the market. The only concerns we have are the ankle clamps, which could have been a little more comfortable and the fact that you have to bend over quite far to secure them. Add in the acupressure nodes, lumbar bridge, pillow and the other innovative features and you have an inversion table that’s hard to beat.
